IS-MIRRI21 – Grant 871129
The National Research Council (CNR) is participating as Third Parties in association with University of Turin, University of Modena Reggio Emilia; University of Perugia and Ospedale Policlinico San Martino to the IS_MIRRI21 – Horizon 2020 project (web site: https://ismirri21.mirri.org/).
In particular, the Department of Bio-Agro-Food Sciences of (CNR) is involved with the direct participation of the Institute of Sciences of Food Production (CNR-ISPA) and its Agro-Food Microbial Collection (ITEM: www.ispa.cnr.it/Collection); and the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (CNR-IPSP) and its Plant Virus Collection (PLAVIT).
IS-MIRRI21 will offer access to a portfolio of microbial Biological Resource Centres (mBRC’s), services, expertise, education and training build-up and synergistically on the top of mBRC’s proficiencies. The project’s aim is to implement MIRRI (Microbial Resources Research Infrastructure) and securing its long-term sustainability. MIRRI is in its construction phase to be established as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) under the EU law. It already includes over 53 microbial Biological Resource Centers and Culture Collections belonging to 10 National Nodes with over 300,000 strains.
See and read the IS_MIRRI21 Brochure (attached) and discover how the project will support research, development and innovation in the use and preservation of microbial life for the purpose of basic and applied scientific research.
