INNOVATIVE USE OF OLIVE, WINERY AND CHEESE WASTE BY PRODUCTS IN ANIMAL NUTRITION FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FUNCTIONAL FOODS FROM ANIMALS: INNO.TRITION
During the Final Event, the four project partners presented the main results obtained during the project implementation, and in particular:
• Use of agro-industry wastes as Olive, Winery and Cheese by-products, for the production of bioactive ingredients for functional feeds;
• Products development and pilot application in animals;
• Cross-Border Network creation for linking experts to producers.
The Final Event took place on Monday 6th and 7th June 2022 at the Caffè Vergnano 1882, Via Amendola 128/b 70126 BARI

The Final Event of the INNO.TRITION Project – “Innovative use of olive, winery and cheese waste by products in animal nutrition for the production of functional foods from animals” took place on Monday 6th and 7th June 2022 at the Caffè Vergnano 1882, Via Amendola 128/b 70126 BARI, organized by PB4.
The meeting was carried out as hybrid event, and was possible to participate registering at the following link: https://www.ispacnr.it/final-event-of-the-project-inno-trition/.
As follows the program for the 2 days:
The Final Event was attended by 23 people in presence and 20 online connected.
All partners of the Project, the Arta Chamber as Lead Partner, the Department of Agriculture of the University of Ioannina, the University of Aldo Moro of Bari and the National Council of Research -Institute of Sciences of Food Production (CNR-ISPA), the Coordinator of the Joint Secretariat Mr. Gadaleta, the Project Officer Ms Pierri participated to the meeting.
The conference program also included the presence of Italian renowned scientific speakers who presented the results of their latest research in order to create opportunities for collaboration with the INNO.TRITION partnership. The conference was successfully completed with several positive feedback by the Dr. Gadaleta and Dr. Pierri that invited all the beneficiaries and the others possible participants to be ready for the new call.
